This week, we shall be drawing on last week's consultation and shall be thinking about Particiaptory Action Research (PAR) as a process of empowerment.
By the end of this week, we hope to enable you to;
Understand PAR and the link to empowerment;
Understand the practical applications of PAR;
Think about empowerment and locate it in your community.
On Monday 17th December at 2pm we'll be watching a short film with Robert Craig. He will introduce his Participatory Action Research project which engaged with elderly people in rural Aberdeenshire to look at transport issues. Rob will talk about how his PAR project engaged the local community and his role in facilitating this process. [Please reload this page at 2pm to see the live broadcast]

We want you to upload a picture of an empowered community with an explanation in no more than 250 words of why it is empowered,
A panel of judges from the University of Aberdeen's CLD Team will award a BOOK PRIZE to the picture that is most illustrative of empowerment and this will be used to adorn our next MOOC.
